Pas de Trois for
remixthedrabble Geoffrey’s never alone. He may think he is from time to time, but that’s only because Oliver lets him think he’s alone. He watches, enraptured and sickened as Ellen - That Woman - oozes all over territory Oliver thinks of as rightfully his.
And then she’s gone - one of her moods again - and he can see the outline of Geoffrey’s cock against his pant leg. He almost aches in sympathy.
It’s just as well he’s dead. He doesn’t have physical urges anymore that would make this pure torture - just the emotional ones. No blue balls, just blues.
*
Nothing good ever lasts and Ellen’s blessed absence comes crashing to a halt. She returns drunk, horny and the centre of Geoffrey’s attention - three things Oliver wishes he could be again.
He lines himself up in Geoffrey’s line of sight and starts helpfully making mimed suggestions - grab that, squeeze that, oh oh lick that bit - with predictable results.
“Get out!” Geoffrey screams, and she does.
Oliver makes an apologetic face which twists into a wicked grin as soon as Geoffrey’s back is turned. Perfect. The woman has no chance to win because she’s not even aware of the competition.
*
And then the lovers make their way to the stage. All of the important moments of Oliver’s life - and his death as well it seems - revolve around the stage.
Geoffrey’s flailing like a wild beast, the shrew is on the attack - it’s time to close the trap.
“You were always unstable,” he interjects. “The price of your so-called genius, I suppose?”
“Fuck you!” Geoffrey replies and That Woman takes it as evidence. Ignoring her, Oliver presses his advantage and makes his game known.
But Geoffrey takes his very words and gives them to That Woman.
Game over - no winners.
Not a fandom I have ever written in before - or ever likely will again, but hey, it's a big internet. Anything can (and does, and will) happen.

Slings and Arrows, do yourself a favour and get familiar with it - it's a precious gem of television. If you're at all familiar with the ins and outs of the theatrical arts, this recommendation is non-optional - you're doing yourself a disservice otherwise.
