Happy Independence Day/Fourth of July, my fellow Americans! *confetti* \o/  \oP (that is my attempt at a flag-waving emoticon.  This is a better one: \o/|>This is my attempt at a archery-practicing emoticon: \o/-}>  Pretty awesome y/y)

I've always loved celebrating the Fourth of July, but this year nobody bought any fireworks because we were all too ( Read more... )

I still can't believe how quickly your sister's wedding has come together.

Have fun in Seattle and at the wedding! Don't get super drunk and like, try to make out with anyone. Or make a drunken toast. That might be awkward. :D

You know, at first I thought that, too, but given how smoothly everything has gone, I'm almost a bit at a loss as to why anybody would need longer than two months. I could see that preparation stretching into four months, maybe, but any longer just seems like overkill for one day's worth of payoff.

Don't worry, no drunken toasts occurred. ;)

Oh, Maria. *pets your head* A zillion reasons. One of the main ones being that the venue that you want is never open that soon, you have to order the dress and have alterations, the same for the tux, and bridesmaids' dresses, which is all after you've finally found the one/the styles you like, and you have to figure out the food, and the music, and for some of that you definitely go to another event they do to see how much you really like them, you have to find a photographer, you have to decide on decorations, if you get married in a/the church there are a required number of sessions that you go to with the minister/priest, and you have to compose a guest list, decide who your "must invites" are, give them plenty of time to respond, then if they say no, send more invitations to your "want to invites" and along with that, stuffing invitiations is a pain ( ... )

See, I haven't watched DW seasons (sorry, series) 1-4. I know, I know. But I plan to, very soon! But I'm an 11th Doctor girl, so just let me know when you arrive at Matt Smith and the Ponds and whatnot, and I will be SO THERE with you! ♥

*loooooove for you*
