Danielle and I ran out to the Harnett County Animal Control building yesterday and rescued two adorable and very sweet puppies. We're naming them Gypsy and Carly. There were two to four other puppies we wanted to rescue but they were not yet up for adoption and I'm pretty upset about it. They have the policy of holding every dog for 72 hours ( Read more... )

The break was a pretty lazy and relaxed one for me. I stayed at home and talked with friends and spent a good amount of time hanging out with Chris and James, playing lots of Halo2 and going to see 300. I found myself reluctant to go to school today. I feel vaguely bad about it but my motivation was lacking when I woke up from dreams in which I was sitting on the dock at the lake throwing balls into the water for dogs to retrieve. It's been a long week, though it's had a few (keyword few) positive moments. I got dirty out at the beef cattle unit yesterday working the calves. I got to castrate, ear-tag, tattoo and implant the 1-2 month old calves, complete with flipping them over and pinning them down.
