That Gucci bag makes me want to quit fashion forever. It's only marginally better than the Vuitton patchwork ones. Why must people make ugly bags? I can cope with the existence of Dooney & Burke, based on the justification that someone has to make teenage tasteless crap, but that argument falls apart when the big fashion houses start making uggeriffic pieces. Luckily I just got this Ted Baker bag in green leather:

Now I hate Giannini even more now. By the way, I'm loving your posts on Too Fat for Fashion. What's also depressing about Gucci's current fug is how enthusiastically consumers embrace it. Aargh, that LV bag. Why Marc, why?
Oooh, your Ted Baker bag is yummy.
I'm not familiar with van Assche's stuff, and am curious to see what he's gonna do with Dior Homme, like, is he gonna carry the skinny muso-shaped torch of his mentor. I had no idea Maev Kennedy writes about fashion too, and she does it so amusingly. I love how in that short article "Doherty" appears 5 times.
I was hoping that patchwork bag was some sort of, I don't know, April Fool's Day joke. Because it is the terrible. And the Gucci bag looks like it should hold vomit. I thought the same thing about it on Ugly Betty.
It is like some kind of joke. As if the designer had thought to himself, I'm going to make a fugly patchwork bag and call it a limited edition tribute and charge people an exorbitant $45000 too see if people will be suckered into buying it.
I see the bag as another indicator of how the fashion in UB isn't all that trendy.
I've been looking through my old magazines lately and wow, there is such a wide gap in quality between Ford's Gucci and Frida's Gucci. Even the ads were better then. I'm guessing that some people from Dallas and Houston are also aiding Frida's evil reign. I can't believe that fashion travesty is sold out. Can't thesy tell that Ugly Betty is a parody of fashion and not supposed to actually be fashionable? It's almost like taking fashion cues from Just Shoot Me.
Hee! I know of your Mohinder love. I do watch and enjoy Heroes, but at this point, I'm not yet gah-gah over any character. I'm digging Juliet from Lost for some reason. And I'm totally shipping Kate/Juliet, but I doubt Elizabeth Mitchell will be doing sapphism as she did in Gia and E.R..
No, Frida is def not Gucci. More like Talbots or Casual Corner.
I haven't seen any of Tom Ford's new line, saved for the one picture here and there. You mean his stuff is like 80s power wear?
Mohinder/Sylar sounds v. hurty. In that NIN way.
That's an interesting observation about Kate and Juliet being alpha females because in their old lives they weren't v. alpha at all. And yeah, boo on the KJS love triangle. Just pick one already or have a threesome!
Ooh, I'd forgotton about Dondoe. I love her ed in VMan by Nobuyoshi Araki. I still have that issue.
