[ Severus hadn't stuck his head out to see who had entered as there was only one other besides himself that the wards he had meticulously set up would freely let through. He was in the little kitchen getting himself a cup of tea. A flick of his wand turned it into two cups charmed to remain warm on a platter that sent floating out into the sitting room. ]

Quite unsurprisingly, yes. I was not compelled by the urge to go anywhere after you left for your own outing, which I trust went well. [ He followed after the tray, which set itself down on a table. He had been reading the whole time, his book on the armchair. ]

I see the two of you are getting to know one another.

Marginally. [ He gave a nod of thanks to her for the sandwich before taking a bite. ]

Does it have a name?

She came with the name Socks, but I thought we might be able to pick something better.

She? [ He was officially outnumbered in his own home. He looked down at the kitten as he took another bite, noticing the distinct coloration on its ... her paws. ]

Perhaps. "Socks" is rather ... obvious.

[ She laughed softly and nodded. ] For now we can call her that until we can think of something else.

If we do that for too long then we will be forced to permanently call her such an obvious, ordinary name as she will refuse to answer to anything else [ he pointed out, his hand resting casually on the arm rest. A couple fingers discretely hung over the side where the kitten lay. ]

Why must I provide name options first? You adopted her. [ And he had no idea. ]

Very well. [ He raised an eyebrow, fingers wiggling as he thought. The kitten let out a mew and pawed at them. ] Pandora.

[ Her lips parted in a way that meant she wanted to object, but her lips turned up in a smile. ] I actually like that.

And just what are your suggestions?

I don't have any at the moment, but I like Pandora.
