Kurt was in the McKinley choir room again. He went there quite often lately when he wanted to sing; it felt a little more like home than practicing at Dalton. He was currently warming up his voice and singing scales, trying to reach his top range. It was a challenge getting to the high F (and if he pushed it he might go a note or two higher) but he enjoyed it and he was feeling pleased with himself as he reached it.

Steinman assumed that the building was someone's place of solace, simply due to what he could see from the outside. It didn't hurt to check it out, however, and as luck would have it, there was Kurt. The boy had a nice voice -- Cohen likely would have tried to take him on as an apprentice, had he been in Rapture.

Well, well. We can't have an ugly songbird, now can we?

Drawing a sedative out and concealing it in his hand, Steinman carefully opens the door.

Kurt stops singing when he sees Steinman walk in. No one's been to his place of solace yet, so this random stranger waltzing in kind of put Kurt instantly on edge. "Can I help you?"

It would be hard for Steinman not to put most people on edge. His features are twisted, deformed from too much splicing. One eye is either entirely bloodied or missing; it's hard to tell. He's still wearing the red surgical scrubs and mask from Rapture -- red before they are stained with blood.

"Yes." He raises his tommy gun. "You can come with me." He'll make you beautiful.

Yako darted down the street, breathing hard and chancing worried glances behind her whenever she had the chance. Her father--no, the creature making a mockery of her father's life--had shown its true colors, tossing her against a wall and attempting more when she resisted its increasingly urgent requests for her to go to sleep. She had managed to get away, but there was no telling if it was still following her or not.

The commotion is perfect, quite like the chaos of the Rapture Civil War. Perhaps he'll get more patients afterward, now that 'friends' are turning on friends. For now, though, he will take those who are available.

The girl running down the street is clearly looking for something or someone, and Steinman smiles beneath his surgical mask. Creeping back into the shadows of an alley, he waits until she is closer before heading toward the front to grab at her. "Quickly, with me!"

Urania stepped cautiously outside. Something had been up, something that made her feel an extremely rare sense of dread and when she'd read the stars, they'd swirled with a darkness she hadn't seen since she entered the dream world. But she couldn't stay inside forever, and she left House 11 for the cool night air, her hair swirling behind her in the wind as the goddess took to the streets.

The cut of her hair reminds him of home, of Rapture and women who wanted to make it big, who came to him begging to be made more beautiful than the next big thing. He lifted their faces and perked their breasts and made them what he, at the time, had considered beautiful.

He wishes he could go back and undo every stitch and suture, but he can't. Many are dead already. But this woman (he doesn't know what she is, and that's for the best, as far as his work is concerned)... he can make up for his previous failings with her.

It isn't hard to slip up behind her and stab her with the sedative.

Urania feels the sharp prick of the needle, and she half-manages to twist around, her eyes narrowing. Then the sedative hits her system, and it's a powerful one, making her sway on her feet and making her eyelashes flutter before she crumples. Her eyes are closed and she breathes evenly, like she's sleeping.

It's something she hasn't done here.

Steinman carefully moves her into a wheelchair that he's dreamt up and moves. His hideout is near the beach, the basement of an old warehouse, and Urania won't be alone there. In addition to the other people he's captured during this, Steinman has found other residents to work on.

While she sleeps, perhaps he will fix her up... put stars in her eyes, since she looks so much like those women back home who just wanted to make it big.

Perhaps running outside of the Hub in the late evening was not the best idea. Not when he still needed to go down to the cells and question Owen, still needed to tend to Jack when he finally came back. Not when there was something so obviously wrong a foot in this place. But Ianto needed a moment to himself before he went back in there. Hands were still stained red from scrubbing Jack's blood from the floor and moving his body to the sofa, he shoved one in his coat pocket, the other he ran through his hair as he blew out a shaky breath.

The chaos reminds him of Rapture. Anarchy. Civil war. Brother against brother. If this continues, he will certainly have a lot of work. He's used to using rubble and screams to cover up his work, and it's something he hadn't thought he would miss, but it does make things so much easier.

A man already covered in blood won't be missed, surely. Steinman slips along, watching, and prepares his sedatives.

Right, well. That was that. He couldn't afford to stay out any longer than he already had. He gave his surroundings another quick once over before Ianto took a step back, turned and started to make his way back towards the Hub.

As soon as the man turns, Steinman strikes, slipping out from the shadows to try and inject him with a sedative. He has his tommy gun in his other hand; he isn't above doing harm to get his patients. He'll fix them, after all. That's all he wants to do -- fix them, make them beautiful, make them perfect.

With her mask on, Rapunzel looks out the window of her room. She wasn't planning on staying in right now, so she wrapped her hair around the window's shutter and jumped down. Her hair allowed her to get safely on the ground. Usually she would find a way to tie her hair up, but this time she was just going to let it be down. She was used to that, after all.

Steinman has paused to reload his tommy gun; he's had to defend himself against some of the possessed residents in addition to using it on some of his... reluctant patients. As he reloads, he looks up, noticing the girl and her... extremely long hair.

How interesting. If she doesn't notice him, he will continue to observe -- and either way, he's reloading faster now.

Rapunzel was trying to be careful. She noticed the weird things going on, and didn't want to get involved, but she did want to get to her tower. If she was there, she'd feel safe.

She walked for awhile before stopping to grab some of her hair. It occurred to her that it might be a bad idea to have it down like this, but it was so much easier to keep it down. She quickly balled up as much hair as she could into her arms before she continued walking, not noticing that anyone was near her.

When Rapunzel pauses to gather up her hair, Steinman follows. His tommy gun has been reloaded now, and it's only a matter of grabbing a syringe full of sedatives and then getting close enough to inject them. He doesn't want to make a scene -- if he can get to her without her noticing, it will work the best.

My, but she certainly has a lot of hair. He would have to leave that; it was unique, something the Goddess doubtlessly enjoyed.
