The first thing that came to mind when I read this was that Yuuko from XXXHolic is certainly probably one of his past lives--and Shinou is Clow Reed (the relationship is creepily similar).

Unfortunately, I don't know XXXHolic :( so I can't really say. (Although speaking of Shinou, a horrible part of my brain keeps saying that if Kyouya is Murata, Tamaki has to be Shinou - they even look the same - and oh god NO)

The thing is that Tamaki and Shinou look identical. It's terrifying. And I can sort of see Shinou, in his first new life, deciding to just relax and have fun instead of being completely chained by duty and going *completely overboard*. (Although him being Tamaki is still a bit extreme. Maybe the Sage slipped him drugs.) And, I mean, THEY CALL HIM KING. XDDDD

The first thing I thought when we started to see more of Murata's personality was how much like Nii Jienyi he was. I'm so glad to see he made your list. XD

I was actually a bit worried about him due to the, well, trying-to-destroy-the-world thing he has going on, but the only others I could think of were Doku and Yaone and neither of them fit at all! And Murata makes such a good Nii if you leave the issue of long-term goals aside. XD

I was stuck on Loveless because of the name thing; I think Shinou would object if he got bonded to someone else like that. Which really only left Yayoi, but... no. Not really.

O_O Yayoi would be the worst yet! @_@ No, I think the problem with the Loveless thing is that Seimei [spoiler]s and that Soubi doesn't (*avoids flames from people who haven't seen it yet~~*)... Yeah, if it weren't for the bonding thing and that, it would work...

I kind of like the L idea because it makes my brain hurt (even worse if Shinou is Light XD--or Misa, better yet >D), but in my mind somehow it works. I dunno. My mind is a very nonsensical place at times.
