Right now we have all the doors and windows locked. The front door even with the deadbolt, which we never use. All the lights are off in the house except Holly's, and we are sitting on her bed, which is way below the one long window. I know what you mean. We had F-16s scrambled overhead on 9/11, 9/12 & 9/13/01. It really creeps me out.

But around here a helicopter means someone is being life-flighted. (Didn't that happen to you once? I'm surprised you didn't think of it.)

Say a little prayer. Someone needs it.

That could be it... however, with how close we are to the nearest hospital, and how fast it is to get there right now (ie no traffic) it would be more suprising I think than a police helicopter.

I think that is the kind of thing you have to grow up with in order not to freak out wen it happens. When I was growing up is was an almost-weekly occurence for their to be a medevac helicopter landing in the park behind our house or a manhunt through our backyard. When that's what your childhood is, you become very blase about it and then check the load in your shotgun.
