Oh, you mean like looking up NYC Subway maps and Greyhound bus routes? That of course was after the story where it was very necessary to find the right war for someone to fight in so they were in the right country at the right time. You tell yourself that no one is going to look it up or call you on it and away you go Googling and Wikki-hopping all over the place. *pats you in commiseration*

Exactly.

It's a very good thing Google and wikipedia exist or I'd have to invent them to be able to write anything.

You should have seen the research I did on pre-Conquest Peru, artifacts and ancient writing systems when I set a story then!
