Why I'm a cycling fan, or digging a little deeper, again.
It's late and I'm home alone. I have the urge to ramble, unfettered.
I love watching professional cycling. Yes, the sport is dogged by doping but it is arguably the toughest sport. Where else do athletes compete for 5 hours a day, 21 days out of 23? In desperation people are bound to cut corners. Unpleasant but true. But I'm not a cycling fan ( Read more... ) -

My favourite thing today is the Running the Numbers collection by artist Chris Jordan. TdF 2007: favourite quote so far
One of the reasons that I love watching cycling, and the Tour de France especially, is the rambling commentary from Paul Sherwen and Phil Liggett. Phil in particular can use hilariously flowery language to describe the race and has catch phrases such as "They're dancing on the pedals!" Today heard the worldwide exclusive of Rufus Wainwright's new single 'Going to a Town'. So far though, I haven't managed to listen to it.
