Why I'm a cycling fan, or digging a little deeper, again.

It's late and I'm home alone.  I have the urge to ramble, unfettered.

I love watching professional cycling.  Yes, the sport is dogged by doping but it is arguably the toughest sport. Where else do athletes compete for 5 hours a day, 21 days out of 23? In desperation people are bound to cut corners.  Unpleasant but true.  But I'm not a cycling fan ( Read more... )

Thank you for this. It pretty much sums up how I feel about cycling. However, I doubt I could ever fall for the argyle. ;)

David's blog entry was fabulous and really gives a sense of what it must be like to be a team rider and to ride a stage like the TTT and do so well. Go Garmin!

OMG you still exist! *hugs*
Never been much into sports I am afraid. Except for gymnastics and diving. I lack in really grace and thus have a deep appreciation for those who possess great amounts of it.

Hello, yes I do still exist, honest. *hugs*

I am awful at sports and lack any competitive spirit (except against myself) but some sports do inspire me. I like the grace of gymnastics and diving too, also skate and snowboarding. Hope you are well. kx
