Straight forward movie, strong SF stuff. Wonderful lack of stupid 'its a sci-fi movie so we gotta do X' in it. And a little tear-jerker end.

I've been whinging on FB abd FA about thigs, so only a breid whine here. Ninth ann. opf Bev';s death, tomorrow first of Mother's death. And I'm all tanked up to numb the pain. Not to worry ,m just self-indugloent whine. And a waste of some really good Scottich ale.

Been grinding out piles of art. True, a fair portion is furry prawn, but I'm DOING stuff, every day, in quantity and quality! Could there be new Albedo and other comic content to come? Chances are good.

The Jay I saved and raised for a while came cruising though the neighborhood today. Looking okay. Glad to see it survives.

Its likely parents were in the area and though I'd give it a chance. No interaction. But it did hang around the neighborhood for the rest of the day. Did not try to come back for offered food. Hope it survives.

A slightly flakey freind has issues with the home owner of the house where she lives, regarding, among other things, a sad little dog. So, I'm 'temporarily' holding it for her. Still alive and doing well- perhaps too well. Its gotten spoiled, will not do dry/dead food if it thinks it can get live food, making all kinds of demonstrations. Has become very comfortable around people's arms and shoulders as good perches, especially if it thinks it can weedle food.
