What a Week!

Last week was a rollercoaster ride unlike any other!!!  wow!!

First and foremost, Michael finally had his promotion confirmed!  Yay!!!  He is in the process of coming up with a name for his group which will probably be the Apoptosis and Immunology something group.  He's also in the process of buying equipment and hiring a technician and a post doc

BIG congrats to Adam - you must be exceedingly proud of him!
This time of year is just gruelling for kids, isn't it? I've got quite ambivalent feelings on the UK education structure as it pertains to exams.
I think missed something . . . did you just start a new job? Are you not particularly happy in it? Or did you job desc just change? Either way, sorry you're in a job that's less than you'd like it to be. I sympathize completely. Persevering is good! Almost as good as perserving. Mmmmm, jam mmm mmmmm :D

My job saga goes on. Let's just say there is a history with Michael and my boss and I'm kind of stuck in the middle. The issues are a little contentious and I was hoping to be long gone from here by now but you know how the job hunt goes!

That's so exciting that Michael is really starting to set up his own lab! And the BSS. And Adam's award. And your new job description (although, I still wish you were working in your dream job somewhere else).
