Money has become a great source of comfort to me. Rather than believe in myself, who is unreliable, insecure and of the nervous and tense kind, I'd rather believe in society's love for $$. As long as I have money, preferrably in cash, I'm not afraid to venture out on my own. I don't fear getting lost, for I can call a taxi at any time. I dont ( Read more... )

HA! Now it's been YOU who hasn't read my entries! I did mention there that I was going to create a new LJ, I even friended you on it automatically and -sniff- you didn't notice!

moving on

money has become an enormous source of comfort to me too o.o or not money, but what money can get me. i've got nothing to do here and i need exercise so I just go walking in the centre and naturally i see all these shops that turn out dangerous to my finances...

home is where the heart is, and my heart is with my friends

I completely agree. I don't feel at home here because these people and the country don't mean enough to me. The people I got to know in Finland I share a past with, have such good memories of and we have an understanding. You might have been talking about your American friends there mainly, I don't know, but it doesn't matter. The people here aren't like from another planet to me but Cardiff makes me feel, well, isolated from so many things important to me.

it's not that the country should mean something to me, just the people there and the memories. I do like the UK, really, but as i've gone on about on my LJ this city is not as multicultural, you know, colourful, as I had hoped. there are only british people here, it seems, and our school doesn't really have societies or groups for non-UK students at all, only for those who come from overseas and aren't EU citizens. It's just stupid. so yeah, i'm planning on transfering to london next year, there at least i'll be able to meet people from many different cultures.

I thought you went there to meet British people, though? o.O Multi-cultural is great, but even I sometimes wonder if I'd be better off without my tight asian group >.>; After all, I'm in Rome and instead of integrating with Romans I'm further distancing myself from them.

London! Then I really will have to visit you ;P You should come over next summer. XD
