Thank you, so much! Love your icon. It's good to know that I'm not the only girl who plays in both the Marvel and DC sandbox. :-)

I usually don't see films until they make it to dvd, so I haven't seen CA yet. Even so, I enjoyed your fic. It sounds as if they've made some changes since I read the comic books long ago.

I think they reconnect some stuff, you know comics folks. I'm glad you liked my little story, and I hope it jives OK with the movie, when you see it :-)

It's not only the shield that's quietly vibrating - I am too, with sheer happiness, reading this fic. :D

I was staunchly DC until I fell madly in love with Steve Rogers after the first five minutes of CA. And now, I'm just a little obsessed, lol.

Apart from the Cap/shield reunion, I think my favourite aspect is the Howling Commandos and their unique individual quirks for everyday survival. Oh, and Choi teach Steve to pick-pocket. ;)

Have you thought about posting this to capkink? I know there are a couple of prompts for Cap/shield there.

Oooh, thank you for such wonderful comments. I'm so glad that you liked it. I ciould have given two figs for Marvel, Batman/Superman being my undying love. But the Cap movie made me a convert. :-)

And I love your turn of phrase. What fandoms have I seen you in?

I'm so glad that you liked the bit with the Commandos. It was one of my favs, too. And thanks for the heads up about the kink comm. I'll go check it out. :-)

My OTP is Batman/Gordon but I've read a lot of Batman/Superman too. I'll read Batman/anyone basically, such is my love for him.

My memory may be a little wonky on this but I think finding a starting point for tpbs was easier with DC than it's been with Marvel so far. But then I've also been sidetracked with reading The Losers tpbs too (damn, Chris Evans is just so UNF!! in the movie version, he's totally taking over my brain!)

Anyway, have fun at the comm and I really hope you write more Cap. :)

He is so fine, isn't he? Thank you, God, for Chris Evan's naked torso. :-)

I scrolled thru the prompts at the ink meme, didn't see any Steve/Shield, but I mighta missed it. There were some very interesting prompts that I did find, though. Started me thinking. ;-)

Well, that was just beautiful. Had me vibrating right along with that shield.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it that much. I like to think of the shield humming Steve to sleep, on the really tough nights. In its own way, it's a living, breathing thing itself. :-)
