Sometimes I feel made of stardust.  Can't explain why.  I look in the long mirror in my hallway as I leave my apartment and see my face reflected with a wintery paleness.  When I'm not smiling, my face is pretty plain-looking and it occurred to me that... This weekend, I was in a dance party of roughly 50 consenting adults out in the icy reaches of Medicine Lake.  There was a gorilla, a golden boombox, a bottle of champagne circulating, and a hella lota breakin' it down.  Who says Minnesota winters don't kick some serious ass?   

Work has been draining my entire being these last few weeks.  Dec/Jan are by far the busiest months in our field, which has yielded many 7pm, 8pm, and a few 9pm nights at the office.  I'm hard charging, but hitting the point of.... gosh darned tired.  The last few days I've started to get headaches from staring at datasets for so long.  Decided ( Read more... )
