So you might've heard about some upcoming comic book movie adaptations:

Batman 3: All the rampant rumors about who was going to play who in Nolan's Batman 3 were driving me nuts, so thank God they finally confirmed some casting. Intrigued by Tom Hardy as Bane. Kind of surprised Nolan's going the Catwoman route, TBH. Not exactly sure how Anne ( Read more... )

I am all kinds of excited about Thor! I wish it was May. Everything I hear sounds fantastic. Majic = Science is think is a metaphor, but we'll see.

I am still holding out hope for a great Cap' movie, but I am really nervous.

Batman - bring it on

First Class - we shall see

I am nervous about Cap, too. I am nervous about Thor, but I was never a huge Thor fan. It was kind of like my investment with Iron Man - which was, oh, okay. Cool.

Batman 3 has a lot to live up to, but I dig Nolan's basic approach to the rest of the series, adn will be surprised if it's not similar quality. (Geez, I need to watch the Dark Knight again.)

I'm only excited by B3, though I'll probably see the others. Since I'm a DC guy and basically a Batfan, and since it's Nolan doing B3, I have high hopes. About Catwoman -- that's no surprise since they killed off Rachel in B2. I suppose Bruce/Batman has to have a love interest. Not sure about Hathaway but again, Nolan is pretty awesome and should get the performance he wants.

As for Spidey, I think it's way too soon for a reboot. We only just got over Sm1/2/3 -- how can it be time for a reboot??

I expected Nolan to go with Talia, who is Ra's Al Ghul's daughter (Liam Neeson played Ra's in the first movie), instead of Catwoman. But looks like I was wrong.

I felt the same way about rebooting Spidey when I first heard about it; but everything I'm reading about it now sounds like they're going in a very different direction than the last three movies, some from a creative perspective, it sounds intriguing. I mean, no Mary Jane. No Green Goblin or Doc Ock. I hear there's not even going to be a J. Jonah Jameson (WHAT?!?! Okay, that one seems a little bit difficult to believe.) So it sounds better to me now than it did a year or so ago.

I KNOW! And there were actually casting sheets for Talia.

They could've just been misinformation, mind you, but a little part of me is still holding out hope...
