So my mom sent me home with two boxes of granola bars I've simultaneously been eating and giving away. This morning on my way to work I passed by this tall, scraggly homeless man who let his white hair hang loose around his face. I get it. While I was in the airport in Australia waiting to get on my flight back to Sydney, I was swinging my foot. A little old man sitting next to me turned, looked at me, reached out and put his hand on my leg to stop me. He squeezed it. I turned to look at him slowly, in shock. He smiled, took his hand off, and looked away.

It was totally not in a bad spirit and he was a little old man, but it SKEEVED ME OUT. I was like "...the Hell?"

And re: humidity. It is SOUP here. SOUP. It's high humidity and 85 degrees. Damn, I hate New York in the summer.

I don't like being touched without permission either. Some people are touchy-feely and enjoy that sort of thing, and others aren't.

88 degrees here, feels like 93, humidity 54%. Yay.

The interesting thing is I *am* touchy-feely, but I guess not when I don't know the person's name. . .

Sounds like typical D.C. weather. Can't say I miss it.
