Every time someone compliments Eternity: Spellbound, it's like someone jabbing a needle in my heart.
It hurts because I wasn't able to be in a tournament that so many others enjoyed.
It hurts because it was my last chance to be in one of
tenshi_kain's tournaments, and I didn't know that when I signed on to do the system. I know he doesn't think his

I'm pretty much completely out of the loop now (I check LJ and RI maybe once a week), but if you want to talk about it, hey, feel free. :]
And congrats to you Northerners at the Olympics, we actually thought we were going to steal it away from you for awhile. ;D

Spellbound was always intended to have a system, and there wasn't much contention that I recall to replace Weave with nothing (although it took so long between the first rejection and Plasmos stepping down as designer that it might as well have), nor did I see much opposition to Duo Host. But on the threads I've read talking about RI going forward, the "no gameplay" side has a lot of traction, and it's safe to say that Spellbound "helped" (I'd wager that at least of the problems it had with participation were due to the delays the system confusion caused, which of course in the Simple View of Things wouldn't have happened if the system had been jettisoned then ( ... )

I just like, noticed this post, because I don't frequent LJ as often as I did a year ago so I apologize for the extreme lateness and if you have already resolved this ... feeling. I honestly never have hated any of the systems, and although this system was very difficult and all, I honestly thought you contributed to Spellbound in your own way. Even if you didn't see it as such, you showed how passionate you were in assisting Tenshi and the rest of the host team as part of it. I thought you seemed pretty into it, even if you felt distanced from it--as one of the members of one of the greatest host teams ever, I say I appreciate your contribution. I hope to see more of you in the future, whether it be on the host team, sponsor, or whatever.
I think you're pretty awesome Krizak, and I think I'm not alone in my appreciation (as a few others have shone).
