it's still early really--8:52--but that's central time, too. i'm not used to central time and now that daylight savings time is over, it gets dark especially early--around 4:30pm. i'm having a difficult time adjusting to the time change. for one thing, i must have been a farmer in a past life because i'm up with the sun and down with the sun. not ( Read more... )

my life has completely changed. i'm still me, but everything is different. of course, miss baby and ginger are still here. it's crazy though to think of who i was when this journal began and who i've become. new town, new job, phd, new home, new friends, new bank accounts, new space, new responsibilities, new goals.

of New Faculty Orientation at my new university. i survived week 1 without much difficulty. today is faculty-wide professional development conference--all day, as in 7:30-4:30. trying to "look" like a Dr. but be comfortable in 100 degree temperatures.

i have moved to my new town. it's small. less than 50,000 total population. still in the eastern side of the u.s. i have moved west one time zone. you'd think that one hour wouldn't make much difference, but i still haven't adapted. it's only been about a week. i've got about two weeks before i have to report for new faculty orientation. still ( Read more... )
