I posted a rant for a few hours last night.  But I've taken it down, I don't rant well.  Thanks Jen for your thoughtful comment.  Keep being me.

So instead of a rant, I'm going to share a page the November/December 2008 Adoptive Families magazine.  November was National Adoption month.  The magazine focuses on all types of ideas, real life stories ( Read more... )

He gets it from his bio dad. :). I always tell him he's lucky. He gets his great looks from his bio family and his love from his forever family. We've got to turn it into something positive. :).

Oh, you do know that my article, FINALLY, OUR TURN, was in the March/April 2003 issue of ADOPTIVE FAMILIES? I got $150 for that article!

No, I didn't. It's a great magazine. I get a variety of mags. Some from state agencies for free. I pay for this one. I've written for a few too. Fostering Families had a four page spread with all my kids in it last year. I loved that one.

Yes, when it came out my principal made copies and put it in all the employees boxes including the secretaries and janitors. It was pretty cool. Then Dennis, our social worker at LDS Family Services, made copies and passed out at one of our adoption meetings. Very cool.

I love that. Our DHS caseworker made copies of my Foster Families article and the article I wrote about DHS for something else and passed it out to the caseworkers to read in the local office and the regional office. It makes you smile, huh?

J is taking this to school to show his class tomorrow.

You are such an inspiration! Even in your "rant" you made very good points, all worth thinking about.

How cute that your son is going to show off his magazine photo! He knows he has a lot to be proud of. Yeah, you're a good mama and doing everything right.
