REQUEST: Please don't include any spoilers in the comments. I'm not discussing the content of Book 7 in this post :)LJ cracks me up sometimes, the way it spawns community after community. There must be thousands of comms that are created arising out of a momentary fad/wank/pocket of enthusiasm. What happens to them when the buzz is gone ( Read more... )

Those icons are hilarious!

I've read a lot of the spoilers from Carpet Leak as well (who comes up with these names?)and I hope they are fake. Mostly because I found them a little boring and predictable. But if they are real then I'll live. ;D

I know I laughed out loud! :D I took this one though because although 'the end is fucking nigh' is hilarious, I fear I would offend many people with that one :P

I feel a little the same but I shall still be very curious to read the book - whether or not Carpet Leak is the real deal or not! As to the name, I suppose it's because that hideous carpet was so very prominent in the PDF :D

Hee. I see your point - and yet that one was probably my favourite.
HP - bringing the drama!

Oh absolutely. But at the same time I'm not going to run to the stores to get it. And thereby hopefully avoid the hordes of little kids dressed as wizards and witches - and their poor parents who are facing the task of translating this book to their kids! The Norwegian version doesn't come out until Christmas, but this isn't going to stop the kids. I must admit I don't envy the parents. ;D

I have added it to my GJ icon list - less people means less people to offend ;)

My work load is so unpredictable. If the book had come out earlier this week I could have read it twice, blogged about it heaps - but who knows what next week will be like? I find that adorable that the parents are going to have to translate it to their kids!! After the release of Finding Nemo, when Papa Koala was telling a bed time story to my little ( ... )

As an "outsider" with no interest in HP.... this is the frakking funniest thing ever.

I have NEVER seen anything like this.... this much press... people posting spoilers...fake chapters...

I think the closest we ever came was the build up to Star Wars episode 1. Is anyone camping out waiting for DH?

I will say it is refreshing to see so much excitement over a BOOK! Not a movie... a gaming system or Apple's latest toy.

Really? If I wasn't a HP fan I'd probably find it annoying as all hell :)

I think so which in a way is kind of sad about the leads and early books etc. If people want to hype it up, make it an 'event' and have 'fun', it seems a bit mean to spoil it and try to force an early release of the book like that. For little kids dressing up as witches and wizards and wanting their first peek just after midnight - it seems kind of crap for them to find out that their are grown-ups who are spoil sports and 'break the rules' :P And yes I read spoilers :D

Totally and the HP books are long and use multisyllabic words! :D It's not like they're a 20 page comic or something :) I think it's encouaging
