Dr Who 2005: Gah it's so good .... :) [amended]

I take back everything I said. Barty Crouch Jr? Who's that?

David Tennant is Doctor Who. Totally. :) I was extremely nervous as the end of season 1 loomed. I had become so invested in Christopher Eccleston as the doctor and possibly even more invested in the beautiful relationship between the doctor and Rose that I had imagined that there ( Read more... )

icons, dr who, being a wuss, things that scare the crap out of me

Do know what else I love about David Tennant? He and I share a hometown in Scotland. *giggles* Mind you, it's not a very small town, but still, it's pretty cool.

That is cool! I know a lot of fans were disappointed that he didn't get to keep his Scottish accent for the role of the doctor!

I can't wait to see the new Doctor Who. David Tennant won me over in 'Blackpool.'

But have you seen the latest ep of Veronica Mars? It's really good; one of the best, if not the best of the season. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Downloading now! I'll let you know what I think but I am fickle I fear. I loved season 1 and season 2 just isn't making me feel the love :)

Then again, I don't think anything could ever match the "eeeeeek" moment of glee I felt when Logan and Veronica first kissed.

Oh, Koala, your reaction is so beautiful and perfect and ohhhhh....I'm SO GLAD that you've enjoyed all of it!

:D

I was so devastated the Sunday morning that I finished watching 1x13, POTW...I know I keep telling people this, but it had been a long time since I'd watched a "finale" that made me cry literally for hours. I went out finally to see a film that afternoon - a British gangster film - and that CHEERED ME UP! That's how sad I was. I still get upset and sad when I hear Snow Patrol's "Run." If you haven't watched Doctor Who Cofidential for 13, RUN, go watch it now ( ... )

I had already mentally prepared myself for The Parting of the Ways but I was still a mess. "My doctor" and .... Jack whom I didn't like when I first met him but definitely grew to love. I had only known John Barrowman from his musicals stuff (I loved his singing of - 'Tell my father' from the musical 'The Civil War'). His American accent kind of grated in "The Empty Child" but he was great in "The Doctor Dances" and after that he just kept getting better and better.

I'm making my way through the 'confidentials' right now. Thank you so much, they're terrific. To be honest, I only watched the Dr Whos that were on when I was a little kid - so I watched most of the Pertwee episodes and the Tom Baker episodes. By the way, Jon Pertwee's son Sean Pertwee is hot and a former crush, problem is he seems to die in almost all of his movies. My brother and I watched them and scared ourselves to death ( ... )

I get a lump in my throat from how excited you are and from "My doctor..." *cries*

I suppose I shouldn't traumatize you, then, right? Right?

BUT I WILL DO IT ANYWAY, because I am EVIL:

aaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (terrified howl)

You are talking to someone who had nightmares after "The Sixth Sense" and "The Others". I am the world's biggest wimp. I simplly cannot watch scary movies unless my bro or a good friend is nearby. I used to scream loudly every time 'Bob' showed up in Twin Peaks.

As I mentioned, the only reason I thought I was ok with watching Dr Who on my own was that the first episodes seemed all right. I watched "The Unquiet Dead" and thought: "Oooh, I must be getting tougher".

I was wrong.

That icon ..... I don't even want to know why you have it!?!? :D Then again ... I have this icon which sounds totally rude and suggestive if you haven't watched the series ;)

I'm so happy you also liked Christmas Invasion!!! I simply love it so much! I think David did (and will do) an amazing job as the doctor. I can't wait for the season to start, as well! I really enjoy it so much! (it was a bit weird to see Roger and Osborne Hamley's mom from Wives and Daughters, as the Minister LOL!)

You'll see when you watch Casanova how cute he is there!! I really like the miniseries. It was the first thing I watched with him!

The thing was, when he was Barty - I thought he didn't look very attractive but he is so attractive as the Doctor and the whole dialogue with the mother about fruit in dressing gown pockets and that sort of thing killed me with laughter :D

what's the exact date season 2 starts? :)

Alas, so far I don't think we've been told anything more definite than "in the spring".

This probably means Easter. Bah. Why is Easter so late this year? :-(

I think it's already easter though! The shops here are already selling easter eggs and chocolate bunnies! Surely that means it's easter and we should be able to see more Dr Who soon! ;) Fantastic!
