Well, no, I'm not seeing the Twilight movie until Sunday. Mostly because I have an irrational fear of my fandom loves and their movie counterparts. If SW hadn't been so fantastic as a film first, I probably would never have loved it as much as I do.

Michael Crichton died today.

My dad handed me Jurassic Park when I was 10, after I complained that the books my teachers assigned me were too easy and boring. I LOVED it. From there I got my hands on Sphere, Congo, and my long-time favorite, The Andromeda Strain.
