Never thought this will happen cuz I'm such a stress eater but I lost 12lbs in a little over 4 weeks. That's how stressful it has been. There has just been no time to eat much less do anything else.

I'll write in details more when I can later.. Just a quick update that things are better cuz I'm on a different service now.

I knew residency was going to be hard but I didn't know it was going to be this hard. This past week was abysmal.

She's drinking alcohol for the first time! I didn't even start the conversation. Seeing my full liquor cabinet, she asks if I drink alcohol. I said 'sometimes'. I got my first choice!! There was so much anticipation built and by the time we were leaving for the brunch, I just wanted everything over with. Just a little over 12 hours left before knowing where we're gonna be the next 3 years! Ahhhhhh...ahhhhhhh I'm gonna stay up late tonight and sleep in so when I get up, I just have time to get ready and then go!

Ooooooo, I cannot wait to find out where on Fri! Ahhh, it feels so surreal knowing that I'll be a resident in the next few months! Holy crap!!

Match Day is one week from today, eek!! that's when I find out where we go for the next 3 years at least. This coming Monday, I find out if I matched with a program at all. And Friday is the biggie!!

I still check Postsecret weekly. Probably been years since I started doing that. Anyways, I saw one postcard that really jives with my feelings for religion, not to mention where the postcard is from. It cannot capture my feelings any more succinctly than it did and I want to share it!

Ohmygosh, it feels soooooo goood to be home. Haven't been home for 9 weeks. The first 8 weeks weren't great but the very last, was a blast! What a whirlwind week we had... It was one of the best breaks I have ever had.

Had one of the best surprises- ever, in my life today. I came back home with a friend and opened the door to find the kitchen table filled with food, candles lit on a cheesecake and dark red roses next to a birthday balloon. It was my birthday celebration!! I was so not expecting that.
