After reading some not-totally-negative reviews in SFX, I thought I'd spend a couple of hours of my life watching Æon Flux and Underworld - Evolution.

Overall - I liked it. There was definitely some cringing on my part, and some questions left unanswered about how Natalie Portman shaved her armpits in her cell; but come on - who hasn't ever wanted to do that to Stephen Fry (even though he was terrifyingly typecast and his "comedy" show was 100% Benny Hill ( Read more... )

Nothing like a Mike Leigh film to remind you that things could be a whole lot worse.

Just got back from seeing Munich at the cinema. It wasn't helped by the fact I'd cycled there rather in a rush and as a result spent much of the first act tasting my own bile and coughing - but enough of my problems. Watching all six Star Wars movies simultaneously

Actually, I think they've all put themselves back after an initial enthusiasm for running over the boy-rat's cage attempting to have ratty-sex through the bars.

So, I'm going to attempt to the Dear Diary crap late at night when no-one is up to read it - on the basis I'll then feel less guilty about trying to say something of more substance.
