Day 22 - Favorite series finale
Quantum Leap.
Sam saves Al's marriage, and we learn that Sam has had his ruby slippers all along. There was simply something inside of him that made him want to keep leaping, to keep righting wrongs. Cliche? Perhaps. But leaving a series finale that open-ended was a pretty bold move. They could have taken the easy way out and had Sam's next leap be the leap back home, but they didn't.
Sure, it left a door open for sequels or one-off movies, but they never went there. To this day, Sam Beckett is still leaping around the space-time continuum, saying "oh boy" one more time.
