i don't see you on aim. you still up? want to do breakfast? i finished my morning firewall work pretty quick, so i'm awake and wandering around in my bathrobe and pondering tea.
otherwise, give a ring and chat me up if you want.
brain chemistry can really fuck up an otherwise decent day. ... and the baby thing... no one knows what they hell they are doing! I laugh at anyone who tells me they are "ready" for children. NO ONE is ready, you can't be... you may be ready to try, to take the plunge, but no one really knows what they are getting themselves into until it is TOO LATE.
Tell your brain that if you ever did have a surprise baby, you may not be ready (I don't have babies, myself, of course, but I've always believed what gothtique says above) but you will *not* be alone. You will have lots and lots of help. From me, and, I suspect, others.
You just tell you're brain you are not alone. From me.
Heh. I had a dream yesterday while napping that I was driving this humungous SUV down a steep, twisty mountain road and then into heavy city traffic--I knew which way to go, but the vehicle just felt way too big for me and I could barely reach the pedals, so I kept pulling stunts like jumping reds before the oncoming traffic, sort of faking out the fact that I couldn't actually stop.
Once in the city, I managed to park near the pedestrian mall/garden walk and race through that (with a sense the whole time that I had vaguely forgotten why I was there) to find dpolicar, who was just finishing up an interview with a young Iranian guy. He finished, let the interviewee go, and then said "Just a minute, need to drop these in" and changed into a small, perky blonde woman. She proceeded to re-tape the questions he'd been asking and some polite "listening" noises, until I asked "If you can do that, why didn't you just interview the guy in this shape?" and she changed back into dpolicar and said "Hunh. Never thought of that
