It's probably a lot like psychics not being able to pick up on anything in their OWN future. It's probably some sort of fail-safe hard-wired into the system to prevent someone from accessing information that may be imprudent to know. With another person doing the facilitating, you have the emotional distance required. I'm glad that you are feeling better.

I meant to tell you... I think that a LOT of the time the theta needs time to rewire your neural pathways. Lately, I've been more patient and less rushed. Yes, EVEN when I'm driving! It took a few weeks for it to kick in, but it definitely is an improvement!

yeah, i think with the really gnarly stuff, it's definitely better to have another person there for the support if nothing else, so i think you are right that it is a sort of fail-safe.

and yeah, it often takes some time before it all sinks in. i guess i should remember to mention that to clients, lol. like with the downloads, for instance, they are there, and sometimes they can't all be assimilated at once, but they will go in as the person can accept more.

i'm so happy that you continue to feel positive effects from the work we did! :D another thing that happens is once the balance shifts a little in the desired direction, then it can start to snowball and push you even further in the direction you want to go. that's why my teacher says, sometimes it's best to start small because even a tiny shift can have a big effect over time. :D *hugs*

"i came out of there with a strong sense of purpose and also the joy that has been eluding me lately." The journey is important, but it's the final destination that is the true treasure. You might not remember your session, but as long as you feel refreshed and invigorated, that's what matters.

Glad you're writing again. :D

thanks. another thing that came out of the session is to focus on what i'm actually accomplishing instead of all the ways in which i feel like i'm not doing enough. so it's not a lot of writing, but it's at least something. :D

*hugs*

Reiki freaks me out, truly.

A native elder did some work on me a month ago when I was sick. When she placed her hand over my arm I immediately started to feel like it was burning. I didn't say anything about it for about twenty minutes, and the only reason that I did mention it to her was because I was just wondering when it was going to stop. She then informed me that wasn't suppose to happen and she made waving motions over my arm like she was sweeping away at smoke. It then slowly went away.

Anyways the reason it freaks me out is that I know "something" is happening but because I don't understand it it unnerves me.

eep! that would scare me, too! i feel the heat from the practitioner's hands (and sometimes more hands that aren't actually there, lol) and maybe a sort of pulsing or swirling energy, but nothing like what you are talking about. and really, other than at the attunements, i've only had two sessions and they were this combo reiki/theta, so it's a bit different than traditional reiki, but i think in a good way ( ... )
