*I did purposely annoy one group by asking, "Did you know that Dec 25 is not the actual day Jesus was born?" and "Did you know that Jesus was Jewish?"
ZOMGWAITWHATNOWAIIII!!!!!
Okay seriously, I've done that too and I have to admit it's an awful lot of fun. (I have an issue with monstrously empty heads. I want to pop them like bubblewrap........)
I felt like I had to say something, but wanted it to be something truthful as opposed to just saying something rude. The Jesus was Jewish line really bothered the Catholic woman who told me that was a controversial topic. I didn't respond though, because it had served its purpose I had obviously annoyed her as much as she had already annoyed me.

This is such a fabulous season - aside from the crazy sales etc. etc. In so many different religious explanations, ancient and more recent humans have explained the "magic" of the turning from the longest, darkest nights into more sun. It is the birth of HOPE renewed, every year. May it always be so. And, BTW, can we quit the quibbling over who is "right"? Please.
