Earlier today, popfiend posted today's 'Sheldon' comic, which references the Battle of the Ironclads. I live just a few miles from where the whole thing occurred and we cross the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge Tunnel (aka the M&M) on a regular basis. (Weekly, on average.)
ANYhow, while I was mucking around with maps, ( I thought it was really darned interesting to compare... )
