Awwww....wow. I feel sad now that I will never experience what you are describing. Although not too sad -- I certainly wouldn't want to become a mom at my age even if it were possible! Still...you've made motherhood come alive for those of us who aren't mothers. Thank you for that. :)

Just as true for a Mother holding an infant in her arms
as it is for a Mother watching her almost 7 year old leave
for school on the bus ...

I wonder if it ever changes?
That desire to capture the moment and hold it forever?
