Last weekend was pretty good, callneg151 came down from Sacramento to go to Grace's funeral. He stayed on our couch Saturday night and we had fun catching up and having a bit of wine. I made my famous tortilla soup that is actually mforbes321's secret recipe - your secret it out! I am so glad the memorial was wonderful. It is a tribute to your love for Grace. I can only hope to have friends like you when my time comes.

I had the funniest impression the other day about Grace, about her being a black-lab-type dog. And I thought, nah, wouldn't Grace want to be a cat, like the one she'd just got? But then I saw a dog like that on my hike, leaping through the brush, rolling in the ferns, cavorting in the streams. And then I thought, oh, yeah, Grace would probably like that.

Aw, you are the sweetest. I don't really know how she felt about dogs, she was an anilmal lover and I know for sure that she loved cats best.

I haven't uploaded pics from the memorial but I did a big post with ALL of the pictures I have of her on Flickr. Give me some time, woman! :p
