For my own edification, and because I have sincerely felt I have been I have been updating more, I decided to check the calendar. This entry, upon its publication, will be the 9th entry. Thus, October will have at least some 9 entries in 12 days ( Read more... )

Right. I am increasingly worried about annual trends. Though I have been journaling in many forms for the past 11 years (scary thought!) I have a wealth of information to explore. True, I have consciously purged some of the more important documents (from about 1998-2003, I doodled regularly during class, and had well over an inch of papers that also contained some poetry and in 2005 I got rid of well-over 2/3rds of it all). Also, owning to my bipolar disorder and alcoholism and other difficulties, there are just some enormous gaps anyways. Nonetheless, I know I have enough to form a coherent narrative --if I ever decided to wade through that crap. For instance, I have most all of my high school English papers and all my materials from AP Euro and AP US History. I never know why I hang onto certain things, I just do ( ... )

I am not sure which you meant in regard to the first two paragraphs or whether or not my wording was deliberate. The first two paragraphs are only sentences so I didn’t know which paragraph you meant & by that time I was lost. I did an entry of my last comment & added a parenthetical clarifier which might help you understand what I meant better. I wasn’t knocking your timing or anything. Just noticing it in relation to the fact you are very active with journaling now, as opposed to whenever I made the comment.

Here is the paragraph along with the editorial parentheses added. Maybe that will help.

You recently replied to a comment I made many months ago, saying you had just gotten around to looking at the links in it, & observing that I have not been as active with updating. This entry explains those two focuses. (interest in online things like old journal comments, increased interest in online tendencies such as posting less)I think I am very different in life than I am online. Because of terrible disconnects in my life ( my laptop dying again; some unpredictability and being unsure how to use my phone; and because the desktop I am now is rather sluggish and old), I had to go back and read all of this ( ... )
