can you try these two sites:

The 1st is HTML5 audio, the second is Adobe Flash. Do you get sound from either of those?

Nope. I dont get sound from either. The second site says Im running Adobe fah version 11.4.402 if that helps.

Sounds to me like you've got the sound turned down but only for Firefox. Not sure how you'd do that in xp, try playing with the volume thing in the control panel, or if you can find a 'mixer' app for the sound.

That's pretty much what I determined. It's turned down for only Firefox and Chrome. Except Netflix sound plays fine in Firefox and Chrome.

From what I gathered, there isn't really a way to affect volume in Firefox on XP.
