My dad and I successfully made it back from Panama, and while the tour could still use a little fine tuning, the Panama Canal was well worth the trip. The museum at one of the sets of locks- Miraflores- is incredibly well done and it is somehow fascinating to watch the ships go through.

Panama. Caravan started a tour there, and we get to do a partial crossing of the Canal.  Dad and I will be going in June.   I like Latin America, but then I'm used to it, so I don't feel nearly as lost as I did in Europe last year ( Read more... )

i got a package in the mail on Friday from the emergency clinic where I took Sandstone. SInce I had specified cremation and not receiving the remains, I was rather puzzled.

It was a condolence card and a little clay tablet with his name and front paw prints on it.

I had to put Sandstone to sleep on 02/28; he had been a little - I thought- irked at me for going to Disneyland for 3 nights and so was ignoring me. He was actually suffering from Feline Infectious Peritonitis and when I took him into the emergency vet hospital they diagnosed him and said there was nothing they could do for him except make him ( Read more... )

So my co-worker and I were having a meeting with our boss and he was asking us if we had any issues. My co-worker brought up this stupid software which doesn't interface very well- it doesn't print when we ask it to, or it prints weirdly or 893 copies- that sort of thing ( Read more... )

I was nominated for my fanfic Family Honor in the 2008 CSI Fanfic Awards in the Crossover category. Anyone else find it odd that the organizers did not bother to drop me a PM letting me know this, or even asking if I was okay with this?

My dad and I got back safely, no thanks to American "Our motto is: Why be punctual?" Airlines.

Costa Rica was really nice; we saw a lot, including tons of wildlife and, of all things, painted cow statues.  They are having a charity thing where artists painted cows and they are in San Jose's parks and you can look at them and then they will be ( Read more... )
