I am coming home.

How should I feel about this?

In Indonesia! Absolutely beautiful, most amazing coffee shop EVER is where we celebrated my BIRTHDAY (how in God's name am I twenty-three???) and now we will go to our awesome hotel and swim in our awesome pool and then play a crazy-eights tournament until 5pm, at which point we will sleep for days.

I have never felt so awesome.

This is, in all likelihood, my last hour in my apartment.

This feels so strange.

Nothing says "Dear Kirstian, you idiot, you're not ready to leave Japan!!! Love your id" like waking up at 8AM to somebody yelling in their biggest outside voice "but you have to tell them I'm not ready to leave yet!!" and then realizing it's you.

Aaaaaaaugh I don't want to go to work.

I can't believe I'm actually considering giving a 7-minute long speech today in the sweltering heat of the gym in front of 250 people.

The only thing that could make this better is if I passed out again, like last year--but this time at the podium.

a) I cannot clean a drain! My sink was backed up, and even after I'd put a whole thing of draino down it nooothing would run through, so I ended up taking the entire thing apart and doing it by hand. I feel so... handy! (Alas not everything was good in Nankai Mansion. See b ( Read more... )
