LET IT NEVER BE SAID THAT...
a) I cannot clean a drain! My sink was backed up, and even after I'd put a whole thing of draino down it nooothing would run through, so I ended up taking the entire thing apart and doing it by hand. I feel so... handy! (Alas not everything was good in Nankai Mansion. See b.)
b) I am capable. The fucking sink is so old that the connecter for the sink and the first bit of pipe? Actually crumbled. It fell apart. Now the sink leaks a bit to be annoying whenever I run it. I don't know if a simple caulking will fix it, but I hope to god I don't have to call the landlord in and get my sink replaced, because I'm certain they'd make me pay out the ass for it, and since I'm leaving in a few months... aaagh.
EDIT: So as I'm leaving school I remember to stop and ask my vice-principal how to say "pipe" in Japanese, so that when I go to Hello Housing I can tell them that a pipe is broken and I need it fixed. He asks me what kind of pipe, so I tell him that my bathroom sink is leaking water--and he picks up the phone, makes a short and strange phone call involving my telephone number and address and a mysterious "alright, then come together with him, too" goodbye... then tells me that his friend and "some other man" will be at my place to fix it sometime later tonight.
