You'd better tell him. Now.
"Sir - I was just on my way to talk to her when I got your comm. Apparently there was some sort of incident between her and Lieutenant Alexander a week ago, and late last night I found him in a rec room, drunk. He said some things that kind of scared me, to be honest. It sounded like he should be in the brig, or thought he should be in the brig, but he wouldn't say anything else. I really had no choice but to put him there. I only just found it was Emma and when it happened. I wanted to talk to her and try to find out what happened."

"Sickbay." He told Anna quickly, not even pausing for a moment as he headed out the door.

"Sorry to spring that on you, Sir," she said as they walked. "I would have notified you about Lieutenant Alexander as soon as I talked to Emma. He's only been in the brig five hours now. I don't understand it; this isn't like him at all."

Note to self, talk to Pike. He thought quickly.
When his comm chirped again, Kirk had to bite back an unhappy sound. He flipped it open, and nearly stopped in his tracks. "...holy fuck." He whispered. It was a reading from the bridge.
Why NOW? He rubbed his brow, and kept on walking towards Bones' office.

Despite all of the craziness that had taken place in the last few hours, Anna actually smiled. "That's what we're out here for, isn't it?"
They had arrived at Sickbay. Anna followed the Captain in.
