July 2231 - Born on Mars, Utopia Colony, to Matthew Adam Kowalski and Irina Marie (Nowak) Kowalski, both ex- Starfleet who met while serving aboard the USS Farragut. Matthew was in the galley, Irina was in Engineering. They are now proprietors of one of the restaurants on the Utopia Planitia Shipyard base.
