End of Year Fandom Meme

So I finally saw The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and absolutely adored it (of course it is my favorite novel). Now this is why I loved this franchise. I also liked that it was cold and everyone was sick (really fit my mood, although I am feeling better)

But that isn't what this post is about:

1. Your main fandom of the year: Really it's ( Read more... )

Been kind of a dry fandom year for me, too! Oh well. I still have all my usual fandoms to keep me occupied, so that's fine. :) And I did see a few very good anime series this year, like Toradora.

I LOVED Disappearance, too! Isn't it just fantastic? I need to download it and watch it repeatedly once I get a new laptop and have more hard drive space, haha. I was so impressed with it and it really made me remember why I love the Haruhi series. :D

I am watching Kuregahime and it's a fun series but it definitely isn't a favorite. There are a couple anime series in the Winter I am interested in so I am hoping 2011 will be better overall for anime.

Disappearance was the first anime I saved in awhile. I so happy it is already licensed because I definitely want to own it. I hope there is a nice special edition. :)

Aww, nothing wrong with having a crush on Richard for that answer. X3

I haven't been so into a TV celebrity in awhile that I would even watch some of the lesser things he has done. Maybe that is why I am a little embarrassed. XD

"Toy Story 3" was indeed a great movie. I grew up watching the first two, so naturally I had to see the newest one.
Plus, whether it's "Hogan's Heroes," "Family Feud,' or "Match Game," Richard is awesome no matter where you see him. That is something I definitely learned this year.

Same Toy Story is definitely one of my top favorite trilogies. All the movies were so good and while it was a bit sad I loved the ending, very bitter sweet.

I love Richard the most on Hogan's & Match Game but he is definitely my favorite by far of the many Family Feud hosts. You can't beat the original. :D

The ending was indeed bittersweet. I did find some parts a little scary though, especially when they realize that they're about to be melted before they're saved.

I actually don't watch the newest edition of "Family Feud" on a regular basis. I prefer watching the classic episodes that feature Richard.

I like that it reminds me of the old fairy tales. :)

On a regular basis I don't either but I've seen episodes of every host here and there. I also grew up with the Comb's version of Feud. But Richard is still definitely my favorite.

I hate GSN I really do. There are still some great episodes coming up next week but they are stopping on a week I was really looking forward to with Allen Ludden and Betty White on the panel. :(

Well now there will be two hours of Match Game every day. An hour from 8-9 AM and an hour from 11-12 (all 1974 eps). Personally I would rather they just have an hour and stick with 75.

They are showing the first episode of Betty/Allen next Thursday but the rest of the week will be skipped. On Friday the 31st they are showing two random episodes from later years (I think two episodes that aired during the Betty White Marathon). One is really funny though with Eva Gabor.

That is what I hope but I don't have much faith in GSN. There are a few episodes of 1974 I want that I didn't get before though

Awwww, love your TV boyfriend and girlfriend :) Especially the combination of those two XD

You wouldn't happen to know what employee of GSN I could bribe into extending their broadcasting area over the Pond, do you? ;)

Betty White & Richard Dawson are such a cute pair. I love them together. I wish they would do an interview together but that's just a pipe dream.

I think GSN is more headaches than it is worth. But I wish you could get Match Game over there.
