The first week of the New Year has been even more up and down for me than usual. I’ve been cranky, depressed, down, and stressed. Last Sunday was nice and lazy. Icespark and I didn’t sleep in that late, considering how late we were up the night before, but we still woke rather refreshed and snuggled in bed watching Cool Devices before rousing ourselves for food. My week started off well - snuggled up with Lemur_Lady in Chicago. We slept late and then went out to eat with her friend Kabo at Lou Mitchell's Restaurant. After an extremely yummy breakfast, the three of us parted ways, and I gave Lemur_Lady many kisses before she got on the bus to head back to Minneapolis. Last night I went to see the Circle City Socialites' first-ever roller derby bout. I can remember when I first heard they were forming a second Indianapolis league, and the original idea I’d gotten that this would be a less-competitive, “just for fun” sort of group. Sunday was the last day of GenCon, and at first we didn't have a lot of plans besides doing a final sweep of the dealers room before it closed. icespark and I started our GenConning Saturday by playing the prototype Mouse Guard board game. The game, which used a board of constructible tiles you added as you played, was interesting as it encouraged cooperative play and storytelling. I had a wonderful week. Last Sunday night when I got back from Holiday World I went over to lildomino’s to sleep and snuggle. My weekend was very nice. It was a lot lower-key than I had expected it to be, but that was just fine for me. I had a really good night with cassiopia Friday evening.
