“You don't get it. How could you. Do you know how hard it is for me to see him like that. To feel completely useless. I need to help him Gaius” Merlin was back in the chamber he and the physician shared. This time Gwen had promised that she would not leave his side.
“Merlin, we don't want to do anything reckless, he could end up dead” said Gaius, trying to calm Merlin down
“If we don't do anything he could die anyway. How long before he gets a hold of something, how long before I fall asleep and he escapes me. I can't watch him all the time” Merlin was now pacing across the room.

“I'll visit an old friend, maybe they'll know what to do” said Gaius, backing away from anything breakable or sharp. “But, for now Merlin you must do you humanly best

It's amazing to see how healing Arthur depends on Merlin fixing his own issues. Hope they fix it. I'm loving this, author, and I hope Merlin finally listens to Gwen!

Merlin took a deep breath, keeping his eyes on his hands as he said “Arthur, this is very difficult for me to tell you, and please promise not to get mad at me

So very sweet. This one was beautiful. I kinda hope Arthur will be lucid for a bit longer so Merlin can hug him a bit more. I really loved this chapter.

Merlin could feel Arthur's breathing pick up as they sat together, their bodies now meshing as one. Merlin felt the need to pull away, not because he wanted to, because he never wanted to do that, but because he didn't want Arthur to feel the need to do this. Yes, Merlin was willing to sacrifice his health, and well being for Arthur, but never wanted Arthur to feel obligated in return. If Arthur were to hold him, he wanted it to because because Arthur needed Merlin in his arms

Oh I get it. I thought for a second that when I had written the last part I had made their eyes closed the entire time. I read it through like 10 times.. picking up all my other mistakes.

I think you mean as in: realise their feelings and admit them?
is that right?

Yep! And stop getting ideas about what the other thinks, and feeling like they're forcing the other and.... everything really. Oh and the magic reveal too :p

(However, dear author, I absolutely don't want to press you. I love the rhythm you're taking. I'm just enthusiastic!)

I wish I could, but I just don't really know how to write relationships or what not. The magic Reveal is very important for this plot. Just ah. God. I just wish everything I was thinking would magically appear on the screen.

Seriously you are my favourite person today.

You can take your time you know! We all love that you update once a day but if you need two to do something you're more satisfied of please take them.
And tbh you never know how to write relationship until you tried, and you probably are in the best place ever to do just that.

Honestly I have nothing better to do at the moment. I'm on holidays. I enjoy updating every day, means I write every day and I like that habit.
Oh and thank you, this little chat has made me smile.
