Yay next part~ you're the best~~~

I love how Ruki's sort of... perfected the skill of talking about something he feel's passionately about - like writing music for music, not for money or specifically for fans, but subtly backing up so that he isn't sounding like he's talking down on someone. He always throws in a 'but that's okay for OTHER people to do it... if they want. Just not us. >>'

unf <3 I love listening to Ruki talk about his writing lyrics. It always shows how much of a person he is. It's hard for me, as a listener not a creator of music, to imagine how he started off not as a lyric writer in a band, but a drummer. He's said before that when he was in his previous band, he looked at his vocalist and said 'i could do that better'. I wonder if he meant he could be the vocalist better, or the lyrics themselves better. I wouldn't know where to begin to write lyrics and Ruki's are so different from most that are out there in the world now. Sometimes I wish he did write songs of "I want to meet you", and not in the ( ... )

I agree with so many things you said! :'D

This is one of the interviews that I find interesting to read, added with Kouri-san's amazing translating.

Ruki has always inspired me in so many ways. Things that school and parents didn't teach me. I learned a lot from him.

You're welcome ^^
And yes, Think I have learned a lot from Ruki, too...and if it's just as much as "trying", because things undone will always be a kind of regret worse than a failure.

I like the first part you mention about him especially.
People are all different right? he respects other people for their way of thinking, their goals and yet can say honestly, when he thinks differently.

And also, I think Ruki has this pride that he really won't let things pass without at least trying. In his position, after things had been hard for him from the early days, I guess that is all he could ever do.
And he doesn't say he doesn't regret the things he did, not does he state if all his tries were successful, but for him it is important to at least try.
I guess I see it like that, too...I only ever regret the things I didn't try, because, who knows what kind of possibilities it could have brought.
It takes courage and I admire this courage in him a lot.

Btw. I also always read your other comments and they always make me smile.

Thank you ^^
