Mars and Google and The Weekend

I went to see The Mars Volta last night with my buddy Sean. It was a pretty nutty concert (as illustrated by my in-concert Twitter of "The Mars Volta are Nuckin' Futs!") with lots of energy. I'm not a huge fan but I sure did enjoy the show. If you aren't familiar with them they're sort of a neo-prog second coming of Rush but more aggressive with

agreed... from where I was sitting you couldn't hear a word that was said really...

I probably wouldn't pay to see 'em again, but Sean asked me to go and I'm glad I did. I gotta give 'em points for making interesting music and their drummer is incredible.

they actually are... reforming for a tour sometime in '09 I do believe.

oh yes, my friend. i got word through the hippy underground a few weeks ago. rest assured, i will be at a Phish show at some point in 2009. probably with mattycub. and a bunch of people who need showers.
