Hi there - I'm that guy Brian who used to post so much it made you run a groove in yer finger what with all the scrolling and ignoring and what not...

I had a similar experience while waiting for a train at Tokyo Station. A bunch of Japanese school kids on what appeared to be a class trip saw me ("Hey, look at the tall bearded freak!") and all started taking pictures. It was a very bizarre experience and I wasn't sure what to think so I just smiled and waved. They seemed to like that.

Hehe, yeah... I did remember to throw my peace sign in the photos as per e_ticket's post from DisneySea as that being all the rage with Japanese photos. Bizarre and fun, yes.

It reminds me of sluggobear's experience in China when he was shopping in a store and had a herd of people following him and around and just openly staring at his big ol' beariness...

That definitely sheds some light on our corp. Christmas party photos - all of my Japanese colleagues are giving the peace sign. I thought it was just a corp. thing. I'll have to ask them about that.

Brian, do yourself a favor, and check out Owl City... he is a lot like Postal Service/Death Cab too, and I like him better than Playradioplay!

Owl City is definitely good! He reminds me a lot more of HelloGoodBye vocally though. Damn those synth effects! I do dig PlayRadioPlay! though as well. The story behind him is pretty damn good.
