Brian - just an observation -

Your writing style in the first part of the post is pretty much Dave White's. I wouldn't presume to know why (if there is a "why") but it's easy to pick up on.

as I was writing I felt that way too - and I put a tag in the post that says "writing like dave white" for that very reason.

I've always been a chameleon when it comes to writing... some days I'm Raymond Carver other days David Sedaris... just depends on where my head is at and what's on my mind.

Must have been the LA vibe seeping in... and as Dave couldn't join us on Sunday (he's a harbinger of plague) what better way of including him than to vamp on his style?

I do so love the Getty, both the new one and the Villa. Is it too much to ask to live in a place like that?

Glad you enjoyed the documentation Eric - the Getty is mighty fine and I wouldn't mind living there at all (even if the eyes in the bronze reproductions squeev me out a little)...
