Happy new year to you too, Brian. I rate "Sweeny Todd" above "I am Legend." Tim Burton immerses you much more deeply into his world than that found in "I am Legend." Yah, the zombies were a bit over the top.

Legend wasn't really on my to-see list but a bunch of friends were going so I decided to go on along. I'm going to try and see Sweeney this weekend if I can. Have heard great reviews.

Hooray on the DS and I must say that Chibi Robo for the DS is pretty fun and cute as hell except for some of the annoying/repetitive dialog. Also, on the books I must say that if you bought The Golden Compass you may as well go ahead and buy the rest of the series The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. They are amazing and the excitement from the first book builds up even more.
