Oh, argh. I usually have trouble somewhere along the way with the site--mostly the navigation, which really is extraordinarily counter-intuitive--but I've rarely had trouble downloading anything.

That said, FIIIIIIITZ. Homg. I need to buy new blank CDs.

Fitz Fitz Fitz Fitz Fitz.

doyle_sb4 said she really liked it, which assuages my fear that BF managed to ruin my favorite character. So I'm very eager to listen.

GAH! Somehow I accidentally paused the download and now I have to start over again. I hate this with a stabby hate.

Did you finally get it? I've downloaded it, haven't listened to it. I want to burn it so I can listen to it in the car where I'm less distracted.

Oh 'eck. Another of my flisties was kvetching about the user-unfriendliness of BF's website, but I hadn't appreciated how bad it was.

I think I shall fork out the extra for the physical CD...

The site looks like they examined a top ten list of worst web design practices and copied them all. Overcrowding, lack of clear navigation, lack of clear hierarchies of information so you can pick out what's important, etc. etc., plus terminal fugliness. And not allowing me to use DownThemAll, which I'm getting madder and madder about because I've now had three failed download attempts. I associate DownThemAll-incompatibility with really low-quality sites like Sendspace, not with a commercial vendor of downloads that ought to be trying to expedite things for its customers. Hell, even MegaUpload lets me use DownThemAll.

/rantiness

So, um, yeah, buying the actual CD might be a good idea. Although if you do that, they give you a complimentary download code so you don't have to wait for the CD to arrive. So you might end up going through this hell anyway.

I just downloaded my copy of the audio. Do you want me to upload it to megaupload for you and pm you the link?

I'm at 91% on my fourth try, so let me see how this one goes. Thanks for the offer, regardless.

ETA: It worked, finally!!

Argh. I just gave up in the end - the combination of their shoddy site and Australia's stone-age broadband meant that I had to go and torrent what I'd paid for anyway. It's very, very frustrating.

*nods* It's so annoying to want to be a good fan and pay for the media, but not to be able to because the people you're trying to give your money to put obstacles in my way.

I was hugely annoyed when I wanted to watch "Middleman" legally on the network's website (thus raising its viewing numbers and keeping it on the air), but I couldn't because their streaming media player was absolute crap.

That site is fucking awful. I've tried and tried to buy stuff legitimately, but I've only once managed an entire download.

It took me four tries, but I finally completed this download. But damn, that's just ridiculous.

... I think I'm maybe the odd (wo)man out here. I've never had much trouble with their website, either navigating or downloading. (But maybe it's just that I've used it enough to get used to the weirdness.)

I've bought from them once before and I didn't have trouble then with downloading. But I've always found that site difficult to navigate, especially if you're just browing rather than looking for a specific title.
