It turns out that Cobweb's kidney infection persists, so the vet has started us giving her different antibiotics which will continue for the next 3-4 weeks. You sound like me. I am fascinated by people (I don't think I love them, but I'm so intrigued by how they function that it looks like love), but I need space away from them for my sanity.

I think your self-assessment is spot on. I think I'm similar. I need a lot of alone time because dealing with people can be challenging, but I can't imagine NOT dealing with them. In fact, one of the reasons I gave up the job in Alameda and started commuting to Foster City was to be in an office with my immediate co-workers again.
